The
Detective Thieves-Treatment
Jacky and Rocky are
pious; but clever thieves. One day they
break into a house where a lonely rich old woman lives. They threaten her at gunpoint and are about
to start their operation, when she requests them to pray before robbing her,
for every act they do must be witnessed by God.
The two thieves weigh the situation and kneel beside her to pray. Then they get out with the loot, leaving the
woman tied to a table.
While moving away, they
feel that someone is following them.
They think it is a warning sign from God, and repenting, they return to
the house and place their booty on the doorsteps with a note: “WE ARE
SORRY”. They hear a shriek from inside
and cast a look through the window. The
woman is now lying dead under the table; a trove of jewellery is strewn around
her.
Terrified, they start
running. On the way they confront a huge
and strange old man with a long beard.
They run back to the dead woman’s house.
The loot and the note they placed on the steps are no more, and the door
of the house opens. The woman’s corpse
falls on them, with blood streaming down from its open mouth. The plundered wealth comes swirling towards
them along with a slip that reads: “WAIT TILL THE OMEN BEGINS”. And, both of them faint.
When the two thieves
wake up from that swoon, they realize that they are in a prison and that the
year is now 2020. The jail mates reveal that both are under
trial for the last eight years, and that they will be hanged soon for robbing
and killing an old woman. On hearing this, the two thieves swoon again.
Soon they make a prison
break; but fall back into the year 2012
to find they are near the old dead woman’s house. Involuntarily they walk towards the house.
There, on the door, they see a paper which read: “APOLOGY ACCEPTED. GO, FIND
THE KILLER”. They follow the arrow mark
under it and enter a terrifying and wonderful magical world where they
encounter the same strange old man with the long beard. With a mesmerizing look he beckons them to
his side, and they comprehend that he is Markandeya, the immortal, the being
that lives and traverse through time and space unending.
Markandeya reveals that
he knows they are innocent of the accused murder of the old woman committed in 2012 and that the eight year long trial
will culminate in their death row, which they can change if they wish. After all, it is their destiny.
To their bewilderment,
Markandeya takes them to a large transparent globe through which they see the
time opaque, the evolution, the cycle of death and birth, and so on. He shows them their destiny and their previous
births, and vanishes abruptly into the void.
With that everything starts revolving and a feeling creeps into them
that they are twirled across the space to fall back into the year 1982.
They are now young,
famous and dreaded private detectives working for the Globe Detective Agency and
nobody can withstand their whim and wits.
They are contracted by a tycoon to investigate the mysterious
disappearance of a wealthy middle aged lady soon after the murder of her
husband who is the heir to a hidden massive treasure trove linked to the Viking
and Ghenghis Khan. As the investigation progresses, it dawns upon them that
they are being misled by the tycoon to lure them into a great trap as a part of
a conspiracy. And in an attempt to save
the lady from the captivity of her husband’s murderers both the detectives get
killed.
The two thieves shake
themselves out of this enlightening episode and decide to apply the very
intelligence of the detectives to find the killer in spite of the fact that it
is a formidable task. Markandeya appears
again and warns them of the wrong convictions, for any error in thought or deed
will be fatal. They promise him that
they will be careful while traversing through time and life to grab the real
murderer for proving their innocence.
Character
Profile:
The
Thieves: Protagonists. They are young men of 30 years and are
clever, witty, smart and quick, but pious and considerate. They have two lives: the first one as
detectives in a previous birth and the second one as thieves in the current
birth (born after the death of detectives).
Both of them think alike and do alike, but argue first and agree last,
to follow one another.
Old
Woman: She appears in two styles. The first one is a very beautiful and royal
looking, wealthy middle aged woman who inherits a massive treasure after the
demise of her husband at the hands of the tycoon. She is bold, pensive, calm and well
mannered. The second one is an old woman
in the seventies. She is bold, proud,
majestic, calm, considerate and God fearing.
Tycoon:
Antagonist. He also exhibits two outward
forms and manners:
First one: Has a very
greedy, cruel and wicked mind. Outwardly he seems soft but is cunning to the
core. He is tall and terrifying and
possesses a vast business empire. He
terminates his opponents brutally. He is
in the forties. Well dressed but more
luxurious.
The second one is as an old
man of the seventies. An old beast, but is eccentric and shaky with age. The age makes him sadist and more cruel. He wears a robe around him always.
Markandeya: A
huge towering kind old man with mesmerizing eyes and long white beard that
extends down the chest. Has a long and
curly white moustache and long white eyebrows.
He wears a long white robe. He is immortal and knows the past and
future. He is an angel guide who helps
the protagonists to fight against the evil to attain their goal of changing
their destiny.
